2010 Classes


Learn about various art materials and techniques. Discover and rediscover means of self-expression. Meet people in a relaxing, creative atmosphere. Classes are small. Curriculum varies according to individual interests. One course is specialized for people with disabilities.


Colour Sensitivity

A series of exercises to stimulate awareness of, and sensitivity to colour, and the interactions between colours.

Expedition to Colour

A journey to one's own creative source. Using various mediums and motivators, we will travel the landscape of the imagination. Classes will involve some physical movement, sound, music, and an array of art materials.

Drawing & Painting

Explore the language of marks, shapes, and colour! We will approach creativity from different directions, broadening our own artistic territory. Focus will include still life, elements of design, playfulness, and basic art appreciation.

Textile Arts & Crafts

An overview of textiles from its creation to its decoration, and use. Possible projects include, dying, batik, crochet, embroidery, spinning, weaving, quilting.

Sculpture & Design

Explore the elements of design in three dimensions, using a variety of materials, for example, cardboard, textiles, and plaster.


Where?

Victoria B.C. in the township of Esquimalt.

When?

January through July & September through mid December. (Once a week for two hours.)

Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.

Cost?

$280 for 14 weeks. $30 per hour for private lessons. Short courses work out to $20 per class.
